bella was laying on the couch with my son on sunday evening when she jumped up and started crying. something was clearly wrong with her upper lip because it looked like she was growling just on the one side. my son was worried and said dad take her to the emergency vet. i'm thinking sunday-7pm- emergancy $$$$ but we looked and couldn't see anything and she didn't want us looking so we went. can't put a price on your pets! she couldn't wait to see our vet on monday. it hurt us to see her in pain.

well they had to sedate her in order to look at her mouth. it turned out to be an abrasion from something she had chewed on. bella just needs to take some antibiotics and she should be fine.

what did she chew on?

two days prior my mom-in-law was giving bella hugs and bella bit her stud ear ring and my mom-in-law felt that the ear ring was gone! she looked on the ground but couldn't find it. we were worried but bella seemed fine. on saturday my son found the stud in bella's poo!!!

was it the stud that poked her or something else?

long story short

it was a wake up call that we have to watch what bella puts in her mouth!

i know it could have been worse.

THANKS!

Aww, I am so glad to hear that Bella is okay! I know it can be very scary when something happens to our furkids. We had to rush our Shawnee to the emergency animal hospital on a weekend when she was about 6 months old because she got bit by a rattlesnake, right on her nose. Needless to say, she was hospitalized for a few days and it cost us about $1,500. We would do it all over again though! Hugs and kisses to Bella!
