Hi!  I recently brought home a young 7 week old male husky puppy.  He is precious =)  Very laid back compared to his other siblings who were running here and there, jumping all over, etc. I chose mine because he would leave the pack to single me out and lay on my feet, and he made effort to make eye contact with me while the others could have cared less...so, I think he chose me so I chose him!  His name is Malakai, he is a red and white husky with one blue eye and one blue/brown mix eye. 

His vet check is this Saturday so hopefully that will go well!  Potty training is going great, he loves to roll over and give belly, he's fairly quiet except when I leave him alone or he can't find me but we're only on day 3 together so I know he's still going through separation from his momma and siblings.  He loves to follow me everywhere and he loves to play with my two cats!

He sleeps ALL THE TIME...is this normal?  I know he's still a young puppy but he literally is up for a few minutes to go potty, eat food, and then he's sleeping again.  He sleeps 90% of the day.  He gets me up early and wants to play a lot in the morning but from 8am on he sleeps almost all day!  I will ask my vet this weekend also but wanted to ask on here too if this was normal puppy behavior, I thought they were awake more and played a lot more.  Malakai will fall asleep in your arms, leaning up against the wall, on your feet...anywhere lol.

Welcome!!! You have a very handsome little man there. Both Shylah and Diavolo didn't do much other then sleep for the first few months so I would say its normal. They are just like babies at that age including waking up all hours of the night. But it doesnt last long and soon the insanity will begin lol

lol weee I can tell i'm in for a good time after this sleeping stage is over!  I rather like it but still find myself grumbling about how he's "sleeping again as usual!" lol.  So cute though =)
