My friends think I'm a little odd for going to any trouble to celebrate Polee's 3rd birthday (25/02/09) but I don't see anything wrong with it. 

 

I've only bought her a card and will be making her a special birthday lunch of Lamb Breast which is her favourite.

 

I would be interested to read other peoples views on celebrating pets birthdays?

Yes we celebrate their birthdays! I usually get them the biggest bone I can find and give them their favorite treats.

Yes we celebrate shadows birthday, for her 1st she had prezzies. like new toys and a playboy bowl. if you go onto doggysnaps there's lots of photos of shadow of her 1st birthday.

We do as well we have a whole family get together. They both get birthday presents and there own birthday cake but they have to split the cake between the 3 of them as my sisters dog comes over as well.

I also bring them to my parents house for christmas day and thanksgiving as they have there own meals for that day. For christmas the boys have christmas presents under the tree and presents under my parents tree and my sister gets them christmas gifts too.

we don't know yet what we're doing... it will be quite a while until his 1st birthday. i expect we'll make a huge deal about it. It's on christmas

what about the cake can you homemake one or do you get a special doggie one from somewhere

I was sure I wouldn't be the only person who did this. 

 

I also make a fuss of her at Christmas with pressies and a special Christmas dinner.  Must dig out the video of Polees first Christmas where she even opened her own pressie
