I was wrong to be nervous to walk Lobo... He's just little hyper that sometime he needs to know his place! lol

I do have plenty of toys for Lobo too, I often leave half of toys in basement so he can play with me, fetching and such. While the other half is here for him to play with while I am doing other things. :)

Yep, Cochise definitely loves his toys!

Why are you nervous walking him?

Cochise still chews on things and he is almost 11 months old. He does love his toys though so I keep plenty of them around for him to chew on! lol

Silly question but do you ever have any puppy that 'attacks your legs' while you are walking him? Out of blue WHILE walking, he'd turn toward me and jump on my legs, sometime biting too... it's like he thinks my leg is a separate being and wants to play with it, lol

Yes, he's still just in the playful mood. You probably need to stop until he settles down and then start walking again. I'm sorry that it took me so long to respond to you, my computer crashed. I was having withdrawals when it was down, lol.

Hmmm... when Lobo bites me, he usually is jumping up and down, talking to me a bit as well... I usually see it as he's trying to tell me to play with him. I usually don't until he stops biting, then play afterward. But the problem is, I think he doesn't get it that he bites too hard. He does bite hard! lol

It definitely sounds like he is trying to tell you to play with him. You are doing the right thing by waiting until he is more calm to play. I remember those "puppy" teeth days. They are like little razors! LOL

Hehe, I personally think I spoil Lobo too much... I give him treats even if he's doing nothing... (In my head, I give him treat for being calm and passive, really but to Lobo, it might not mean much or anything!) And I used to use clicker but he automatically sits when he hears it... in a way, I'm not sure if that's what he's supposed to do...

I'm happy with him at the moment, but I'm trying to figure out how to stop him from biting people, lol... I do try to switch with toys as fast as possible and say no biting when he does bite me.

Cochise is 10 months old and he still bites, although he only bites me and my husband. Let me correct myself, he doesn't bite per se but he grabs our hands and pulls us to whereever he wants us to go. It is either to the door to go outside or to the garage to tell us that we need to feed him, lol.

I know this sounds crazy and I don't know if it is the "right" thing to do or not but we would blow in Cochise's face when he would start biting on people. He didn't like that so he would stop. It seemed to work for us.

I have clicker but I'm trying not to use it because it seems that he only expect reward from me when I click on it... Unless that's what it's supposed to be for?

I'm  the wrong person to ask about a clicker. I never used one. You might want to ask that on a forum. Maybe if you just praise him when he responds to the clicker he will get used to that. Maybe throw in a reward every so often.

Lobo is barely 11 weeks old! I am actually thrilled to see him as adult! I prefer adult more than puppy but I wanted my own way of training him as he gets older so he knows me... I'm deaf, so commands are in signing with occasional verbal commands... I'm slowly becoming accustomed to using voice more than signing because he doesn't really look at me that often! lol

I think it's awesome that you are signing his commands. Huskies are sooo smart! He's still young and I think that he will learn to pay more attention to you. Are you using a clicker or something that will get his attention? That way he will learn to look at you when he hears that noise.
